Diego Costa’s time at Chelsea appears to be all but finished, and Atletico Madrid are the front-runners in the race to land him.
The Spanish international has reportedly been told by Antonio Conte that he has no future at Stamford Bridge, which has prompted him to seek a move away from the club.
Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico and it now looks as though the La Liga giants are ready to bring him back to the club, with the Independent claiming that they are growing ‘desperate’ for a deal to be struck.

It’s stated in the report that the Blues are confident of Diego Simeone’s side reaching an agreement with them over a £30m move, with Atletico keen to avoid missing out on yet another top summer target this window.
However, Costa won’t be in action for Atletico, if he does join them, until January. They are currently under a transfer ban that prevents them from playing new additions until it is lifted at the beginning of 2018.
