Bakayoko in for Chelsea medical

AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is undergoing a medical at Chelsea today.

The Frenchman has been touted with a move to the Blues for some time now, and he has posted on his Instagram story a picture of Chelsea’s Cobham training ground as he prepares for a medical.

Bakayoko’s move to Chelsea has been on the cards for some time now and a deal looks set to be struck in the near future. An official announcement could be made within the next 24 hours, with talks appearing to have accelerated.

Manchester United, among others, had been linked with signing Bakayoko but the Blues have won the race, as expected, and will make the midfielder their third addition of the summer. Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger have also been brought in.

Antonio Conte is reportedly a fan of Bakayoko’s combative style of play, and he’ll hope that he can add some more quality to Chelsea’s midfield.
