Chelsea are monitoring Everton midfielder Ross Barkley ahead of a potential move for the Englishman.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea and Manchester United are both keeping a close eye on Barkley with Tottenham currently the frontrunners for his signature.
The report claims that Everton are demanding £50m for Barkley, whilst the player himself wants £100k-per-week in wages.

Barkley has already been ruled out for the start of the season after he underwent surgery for a hernia injury.
The England international will be out of action for four weeks but will be back before the transfer window slams shut at the end of next month.
Barkley scored six goals in 39 games for Everton last season, featuring in 36 of the club’s 38 Premier League matches.
The 23-year-old has been at the club for 12 years – since he was 11 – and has amassed 179 appearances for Everton in that time.
Barkley has also been capped 22 times by his country, scoring twice.
