New signing Morata set to make a sub appearance tomorrow

Chelsea have confirmed on Twitter (@ChelseaFC) that Antonio Conte is going to give new signing Alvaro Morata game-time tomorrow against Bayern Munich, albeit not from the start.

New club-record signing Morata is set to play for Chelsea for the first time tomorrow against Bayern Munich in an International Champions Cup match, even though it will be on the bench.

Morata will hope to impress manager Conte as the new Premier League season is only three weeks away, especially with Michy Batshuayi really coming into his own at the end of last season and in preseason, where he has scored two goals against Arsenal recently, which he expressed his delight with over Twitter using FIFA 17 terminology.

The Spanish forward would also love to fit into the Chelsea side and to make new partnerships in the front line with the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and maybe even Batshuayi.

Morata will have help setting in already, with fellow Spaniards Cesar Azpilicueta, Cesc Fabregas and Pedro being at The Blues, who he apparently spoke to before joining.
