Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has stepped up his efforts to get rid of Spanish striker Diego Costa as he doesn’t want the striker anywhere near the first team squad, according to a report in the Mirror.
The Italian boss doesn’t want Costa near his team as he wants full focus before the new season starts.

Conte revealed to Costa earlier in the summer that he was no longer needed at the London club and that he will be sold this summer, which came as a shock seeing as Costa was the Blues’ top scorer last season on their road to the Premier League title.
Costa has been working individually in Brazil and has been working on his fitness alone.
The 28-year-old forward’s Chelsea future has come to an end as the Blues have signed his compatriot Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid for a club record £65m.

Morata is a direct replacement for Costa, who is wanted by various European clubs.
The striker prefers a move back to his old club Atletico Madrid but the Spanish side have a transfer ban which means they can’t register any new players until January 2018.
This has meant AC Milan have shown interest in signing Costa as their major squad overhaul this summer continues.
