Chelsea and Arsenal will meet once again at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with both sides vying to win the 2017 Community Shield.
Only three months ago, these two clubs met in the FA Cup final. Arsenal were victorious on the day, with goals from Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey enough to secure a record 13th FA Cup for the Gunners. Their triumph a few months ago secured their spot in the season’s unofficial curtain-raiser.
Whereas, Chelsea secured their spot in this year’s Community Shield through winning the 2016/17 Premier League title. In Antonio Conte’s first season at Stamford Bridge, the Italian guided Chelsea to their fifth Premier League title. The Blues finished seven points ahead of closest rivals, Tottenham.
