Chelsea are reportedly growing increasingly keen to sign Virgil van Dijk this summer, and will lodge a £60m bid for the defender according to the Mirror.
It’s stated in the report that the Blues boss is preparing to make a record-breaking offer for the Dutchman’s services in the near future, as he looks to bolster his side’s defensive unit.
Conte’s desire to land his top targets has only strengthened following Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield today, and Van Dijk appears to be at the top of his wish list.

The Dutchman has reiterated his desire to leave to Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino, but the club are said to be adamant on keeping hold of one of their key players this summer.
Despite the big-money signing of Antonio Rudiger from Roma, Conte is clearly unsatisfied with the central defenders that he currently has at his disposal ahead of the upcoming campaign.
