Chelsea have promised head coach Antonio Conte that the club will sign at least three more players to add to the Italian’s current squad, according to The Telegraph.
The Blues have already signed Willy Cabellero, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer, which added to an already great squad from their title-winning season previously.
However, several players have left Chelsea, either on loan or permanently, such as John Terry, Nemanja Matic, Bertrand Traore, and Dominic Solanke to name a few. There is expected to be another major departure with Diego Costa set to leave Stamford Bridge for either Atletico Madrid or AC Milan.
During Chelsea’s Community Shield defeat to Arsenal, their bench looked very week and was made up of a majority of younger players, highlighting the club’s lack of depth.
In the same report, Chelsea are said to be looking to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit for Serge Aurier from PSG and Liverpool’s pursuit of Virgil van Dijk who recently handed in a transfer request at Southampton.
