Chelsea target Sergi Roberto has told his current club Barcelona that he wants to leave this summer with Blues’ boss Antonio Conte ready to trigger his €40m release clause and bring him to Stamford Bridge, according to a report from Don Balon, via the Daily Star.
The central midfielder, who can also operate as a right-back, has decided to leave the Nou Camp after being left on the bench for yesterday’s Spanish Super Cup first leg tie with Real Madrid, which they lost 1-3.

The 25-year-old has been closely monitored by Conte, who is keen to strengthen all areas of his side before the transfer window slams shut.
Don Balon claim that Conte has an offer ready for Roberto which is better than his current one with the Spanish giants.
Roberto will also be promised a regular role in the first team at Chelsea and before yesterday, he was still unsure about the move but after being left out of the starting XI, he made up his mind to leave.
Roberto has two years left on his current deal with the Catalan club but if his release clause is met, then the club will be powerless to stop him leaving for the Premier League.
