According to Darren Lewis of the Mirror, Diego Costa has demanded a loyalty bonus from Chelsea as part of his legal action against the club.
Costa has yet to feature for the champions this season, not even making an appearance in the match day squads for the Community Shield and Saturday’s defeat to Burnley.
Despite publicly stating his desire to rejoin Atletico Madrid last summer, Costa feels he should be paid a loyalty bonus for staying with the club following a difficult 15/16 season as he is now being forced out of the club by manager Antonio Conte.

Despite blocking moves to Atleti last summer and then to the Chinese League in January, Conte made it clear to Costa that he’d be allowed to leave the Blues at the end of the season.
Earlier this month Chelsea dismissed the rumour that Costa was being forced out of the club as “nonsense” and the Blues seem to be holding firm on that stance.
However, Costa feels that the Italian manager is doing all he can to push him out of the Stamford Bridge door and he is therefore pursuing a payment as part of a legal case.
