Spurs tell Chelsea and Man United that Rose is not for sale

Tottenham Hotspur have told fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United that £50m-rated left-back Danny Rose is not for sale after both clubs registered their interest in signing him this summer.

The Englishman spoke out last week about his concerns about a lack of silverware won during his time at Spurs and also about their wage structure, which led Chelsea to be on full alert.

Rose apologised and his apology was promptly accepted by manager Mauricio Pochettino but his reputation at the club with the fans may be tarnished for some time.

The Daily Mail also reported that Spurs would not be selling Rose this summer. Rose was handed a fine for his outburst regarding the club but that is the end of the matter and the club are now hoping that he makes a swift recovery from his injury so he can be available for selection once again.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been eyeing up a move for Rose to help add depth to his thin squad but it seems that the Italian will be left frustrated once again this summer and will need to pursue other targets.

Conte is adamant that Chelsea need to bring in four players before the transfer window closes but at this rate the Blues will only complete a couple of deals.
