Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Grzegorz Krychowiak from PSG this summer, but only if they fail to secure Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
It’s been no secret that Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his side this summer, with a holding midfielder near the top of his wish-list for the remaining chunk of the window.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Drinkwater is the first choice midfielder for the Blues, and Krychowiak is regarded merely as a backup.
Chelsea have already been knocked back in their approach to sign the England international, with the Foxes keen to keep hold of their key players in the final stretch of the summer.
If Leicester continue to demand an unreasonable fee for the former Manchester United protege, it looks as though Chelsea will pursue the Poland international, who could be set for an exit.
Krychowiak is not in Unai Emery’s plans at PSG, and a move to Chelsea may be tempting for the powerful midfielder.
