Antonio Conte believes he’s still two or three players light at the moment as Chelsea continue to work towards bringing in a couple new faces before the transfer window shuts next week.
The Blues are keen on bringing Italy international winger Antonio Candreva to the Premier League from Inter Milan this summer, and the Serie A club have made Candreva available for the right price and are looking at replacements.
Inter are considering making a move for former Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso, who currently plays for city rivals AC Milan, if they reach an agreement with Chelsea for Candreva.
Chelsea can sign Candreva for just €25m this summer and Conte is eager to bring in the versatile winger as he can operate in both the wing-back position and in a more advanced forward role.
The problem is, Chelsea have made an effort to sign younger players with a strong resale value this summer, and Candreva, who is 30, doesn’t quite fit that mold and Conte is struggling o convince the Blues hierarchy to sanction a move for the player.
