Thursday sees the draw of the Champions League group stage take place, and Chelsea will find out which three other teams they will play in this year’s competition.
By winning the 2016/17 Premier League title, Antonio Conte’s side are in pot one along with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Monaco, Spartak Moscow, and Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, they could still be drawn against one of Europe’s biggest clubs. They could face any one Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla in pot two.
Chelsea fans will hope for a successful European campaign this year, with the ambition of the Blues lifting their second Champions League title. With the final being held in Kiev, many will be hoping to see Chelsea in the final in May.
