According to a report from the Times today, Barcelona are preparing to up their efforts to sign Willian from Chelsea.
The Catalan giants are looking to spend the money they received from the sale of Neymar wisely, and appear to have identified Brazilian winger Willian as a man to help revitalise them.
It’s been a difficult start to the campaign for Barca, with them having been comfortably seen off in the Spanish Super Cup by Real Madrid over two legs.
They are chasing Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele and look to be closing in on an agreement with the Bundesliga club, but it looks like Willian is a target regardless of this deal.
The former Anzhi man has been linked with a move away for some time now, but looks to still a key part of Antonio Conte’s plans despite the Blues’ previous stance of being open to selling him ahead of this summer.
