AC Milan haven’t yet given up hope of signing Diego Costa from Chelsea, it seems.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the Italian side remain positive about their chances of landing the Spain international, despite him having already knocked back their approaches earlier on in the summer.
Costa himself wants to return to Atletico Madrid, but it looks as though there is some distance between Chelsea and the La Liga club in terms of a transfer fee. Along with this, Atletico can only play Costa when their transfer embargo ends in January.

It’s claimed by reports in Italy, as cited by the Daily Mail, that while Milan are reluctant to cough up the Blues’ £50m asking price, they are open to meeting Costa’s wage demands, therefore making for a genuine possibility over a loan move.
Marseille have been linked with a move for Costa in recent times, and despite AC Milan clearly holding an interest, it looks as though the Brazilian-born forward has his heart set on a reunion with Diego Simeone at Atletico.
