Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte spoke of his commitment to the club after their 2-0 victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
Conte signed an improved deal with Chelsea back in July after securing the Premier League title last season, but the Italian did not extend his contract with the club.
There has been constant speculation this summer that Conte is unhappy with the lack of transfer activity taking place at the club and that the Chelsea hierarchy are already beginning to line up his successor.
With the transfer window set to close on Thursday, Conte reiterated that he will not walk out on the club, but also stated that signings must be made to increase the depth in the squad:
I’m totally committed to the club. When we restart next month we have to play seven games. I need to rotate my players.
Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata both netted for Chelsea against Everton as the reigning Premier League champions began to look back to their best.
