Chelsea have confirmed, via the club’s official website, that they have signed Kylian Hazard Hungarian side Ujpest.
The 22-year-old, and younger brother of Blues’ star Eden, will join up with the club’s development squad for the season.
The Belgian attacking midfielder spent his formative years playing in his homeland before making the move to Hungary in the summer of 2015.
Hazard becomes the third member of his family to join Chelsea after Eden and Thorgan, who is now playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach in Germany’s Bundesliga.
At 22, Kylian will be looking to put himself in the frame for the first team sooner rather than later and as is often the case with players in Chelsea’s development squad, it would not be a huge shock to see him loaned out sooner rather than later.
