It seems as the transfer window edges nearer its closure, the future of Diego Costa is becoming increasingly clearer.
The striker has failed to report for training after handing in a transfer request at Chelsea and has signalled his intent to leave the club but only for Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea are ready to part ways with the striker but Atletico’s transfer ban has stalled progress with the deal, but it appears as if a resolution has been reached.

Spanish publication AS are reporting that Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are finalising a deal to send Costa back to the club he left to join the Blues.
A deal worth an initial £40m with £10m more in add ons has been agreed between the two sides.
Costa cannot be registered by Atletico until January when their transfer ban is lifted, meaning he will likely leave on a short-term loan during the first half of the season.
Everton and Las Palmas are among a host of clubs said to be keen on taking Costa on loan once his transfer to Atletico is completed.
