Chelsea star Eden Hazard has commented on the ongoing situation surrounding Diego Costa at the club.
The Belgian international has been discussing current affairs regarding the Blues, and admitted that he is holding out hope that Costa will return to the fold under Antonio Conte.
Hazard and Costa have formed an excellent partnership and knowledge of each other’s games over the last couple of seasons. This has evidently prompted the winger to express his hope that the Brazilian-born forward will play again for the Blues.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, Hazard said:
Diego? We spend three years together and we won everything, not the Champions League but we won the League. It was a pleasure to play with him. I want him back but you know I don’t make the decision. But he is a top guy, a top player.

I hope for him in the future he can find a solution and I want to see him on the pitch soon.
Costa has been exiled from Antonio Conte’s Chelsea plans, and this was further reinforced by his, admittedly expected, exclusion from the Italian’s 25-man Champions League squad for the European campaign ahead.
Hazard has featured for Belgium during this international break and is likely to be available for selection when he returns to Chelsea, with Conte keen for his side to carry on their solid recent form.
