The English transfer window has been and gone and Diego Costa still remains a Chelsea player.
Antonio Conte has made the striker surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea were unable to reach a deal with Atletico Madrid to send Costa back to his former club largely thanks to their transfer ban.
Costa has travelled back to London after spending much of the summer AWOL back in Brazil but with Alvaro Morata hitting the ground running, Conte is not looking at handing Costa a first-team reprieve.

The Turkish transfer window is still open until tomorrow and Besiktas are said to be considering a shock loan swoop for Costa before the deadline.
Besiktas are ready to offer Costa first-team football until January when Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban is over, allowing the striker to stay fit until his preferred destination once again becomes viable.
Whether Costa himself would agree to such a deal remains to be seen.
