Fenerbahce are looking unlikely to complete a deal to sign Chelsea forward Diego Costa.
According to Sky Sports, the Turkish side were close to sign the striker on loan but the deal hit a snag and appears to be off.
They were set to sign Costa on loan, with the forward out of Antonio Conte’s plans at Chelsea.
Costa has already been replaced at Chelsea, by Alvaro Morata – who has also taken Costa’s place in the Spanish national team.
Morata signed for Chelsea for £70m from Real Madrid in the summer and has scored twice in three Premier League games for the club so far.
Costa was Chelsea’s top scorer last season but fell out with Conte after telling the Chelsea boss that he wanted to move back to Atletico Madrid.
The Turkish transfer window closes on Friday night, which means there could still be one last twist to the tale.
