Nigeria are looking to persuade Tammy Abraham to represent them at a senior international level, according to the BBC.
Abraham has represented England at youth level and is a prominent feature in their Under-21 outfit. He’s established himself as a key player for Aidy Boothroyd and has enjoyed success leading the line for his country at youth level.
The young forward is currently out on loan at Swansea City, where he has impressed so far. Abraham opened his Premier League account with a goal in the Swans’ 2-0 win away at Crystal Palace last month.
It looks as though the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has noticed Abraham’s progress, though, and is keen to lure him from England’s grasp.

Pinnick explained:
We are working on getting Abraham. Tammy is like my son. His father and I grew up in the same neighbourhood. So when they talk about him, I just laugh because I know what to do.
Abraham is English by nationality having been born in London. However, his father is of Nigerian descent, therefore meaning he is eligible to represent the African country at senior level should he wish.
It’s understood that Abraham has an ambition of playing for England’s senior team, though, despite Nigeria’s ongoing efforts to persuade him to switch allegiances.
