Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has heaped the praise on N’Golo Kante following his display against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Frenchman lined up in midfield against his former side, with whom he won the first of his two Premier League titles so far with, and certainly caught the eye with an effervescent display.
Kante was the heartbeat of the Chelsea team throughout and his efforts were rewarded as he buried the Blues’ second of the afternoon with a well-taken low drive. His goal proved to be decisive as Chelsea came away with a 2-1 win at the King Power Stadium.
His performance didn’t go unnoticed, either. Blues boss Antonio Conte waxed lyrical over his key man and, as quoted by the Leicester Mercury, lauded Kante as a player.
N’Golo played an amazing game but we are used to seeing these; he’s a fantastic player. He makes good runs but with quality and he’s improving his passes and finishing a lot.
I think it’s very important to see that this player is improving step-by-step and he’s improving his weakness and I think now N’Golo is a really top player.
Chelsea have now won three of their first four games and are in a rich vein of form, with Kante playing a big part in their bright start to the campaign.
You can see that N’Golo has improved a lot if you compare two years ago and also last season.
