Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater will have to wait until October to make his debut for the club.
Boss Antonio Conte delivered the disappointing news in his recent press conference ahead of his side’s blockbuster clash against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
As quoted by the BBC, the Italian manager said this about Drinkwater’s condition:
He had a muscular problem in his calf. He needs time to recover. I think it is very difficult to see him before the international break. It is a pity because he was starting to work and to improve his physical condition.
Now we have to move all these situations. And in two, three weeks, four weeks, I don’t know.

The England international was signed for a fee of around £35 million, but the former Leicester man is yet to kick a ball for the Blues following his deadline day move.
Drinkwater is now set to miss at least five games, including the game against Arsenal. He will also miss Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, along with their Premier League fixture against Manchester City near the end of September.
The Blues have a plethora of midfield options, so depth is not an issue, but they will hope to see Drinkwater back in contention in swift fashion.
