Diego Costa seemingly has no intention to return to Chelsea and has his heart set on a return to Atletico Madrid but the two clubs failed to agree a deal during the summer window for his transfer.
The striker last featured for the Blues over three months ago in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal where Antonio Conte informed Costa shortly after that he was no longer part of his plans and hasn’t been seen since.
Atletico Madrid are trying to bring him back and Marca claim that they are ready to offer a club-record bid worth £48.4m (€55m) up front, plus a further £8.8m (€10m) in add-ons, meaning the total worth of the offer is £57.2m (€65m).

However, as per FIFA rules, Atletico will be due 5% of that fee back as a solidarity payment, totalling £2.4m if the reported figures are accurate.
The 28-year-old striker was a big hit with the Atletico fans during his four-year spell at the club prior to joining Chelsea in 2014 and it seems only a matter of time before he returns to La Liga.
