Chelsea have been encountering several disciplinary problems with their players in recent times.
In their last eight competitive fixtures, five respective red cards have been shown to their players. This includes two on the opening day of the season against Burnley at home, and most recently David Luiz’s straight red against Arsenal.
The Brazilian international produced a reckless challenge on the Gunners’ defender Sead Kolasinac, which saw him given his marching orders late on.

This prompted suggestion that Chelsea should seek out expert advice on how to prevent so many instances of indiscipline from happening. However, according to the Telegraph, there are no plans in place to do so.
There is a consensus that the Blues’ players have been victims of refereeing inconsistency this season, but no action will be taken just yet as Chelsea aim to move forward with the belief that their squad does not need to be reminded of the expectations at the club.
Luiz will now sit out as he completes a three-game ban.
