Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants Gabriele Oriali to join him at Stamford Bridge as a coach after the pair had a great relationship during their time managing the Italian national team, according to a report on the Daily Star.
Oriali was quizzed about whether he was asked to move to London with Conte. He replied:
I can only say that we are good friends. In the national team we created a certain relationship and we are still in contact.
Conte came to the Blues last season and following a shaky start, he managed to guide the team to the Premier League title in his first year at the club.

He also masterminded a brilliant FA Cup run, which was halted in the final by London rivals Arsenal at Wembley.
Oriali and Conte worked together for Italy and managed to create a winning formula which helped the side reach the quarter-final of the European Championship in 2016.
The 64-year-old Oriali would be perfect for Conte to help him overhaul the playing style and football operation which is currently in place at Stamford Bridge.
However, a reunion isn’t as close as some thought as Oriali insisted that they are merely friends, which means a professional relationship at the moment seems unlikely, even if Conte would like to bring him in.
