Spain manager Julen Lopetegui has called for Chelsea striker Diego Costa to sort out his club future so he can begin playing and fight for a spot in the National team ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, according to a report on Football Espana.
The striker has been frozen out of the Chelsea squad by Italian manager Antonio Conte, who earlier in the summer sent him a text message to let him know that he was no longer part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.
Costa has since been in his hometown in Brazil and has been itching for a move back to his former club Atletico Madrid but the move could not go through smoothly as the La Liga club have a transfer ban preventing them from registering new players until January.

Costa was then close to moving to the Turkish League on a half-season loan, but that move also fell through.
The 28-year-old was not part of Spain’s most recent squad for their World Cup qualifying campaign as the player has not been in full-time training.
“We aren’t angry, it’s a complicated situation,” Lopetegui explained on BeIn Sports.
“His summer has been very strange and it’s an unusual situation, not just for him but also for Chelsea.”
The striker needs to get back in shape quickly if he is to fly out with the Spain squad to the World Cup.
