Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Eden Hazard is fit and available for his side’s trip to Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Blues travel to Spain as they look to steer clear of their rivals in the Champions League group stage, with a huge contest in the offing.
Chelsea won their opening fixture with ease, seeing off Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag 6-0. Atletico, on the other hand, could only manage a draw against Roma, seeing Chelsea top the group.
Hazard has been eased back to fitness following surgery on his ankle, and as quote by the Evening Standard, Conte has confirmed that he is in contention to play against Diego Simeone’s side.
I think Eden is improving a lot and in contention for the game (in Madrid). After his injury and surgery you need time, and if I make the decision (to start him) it is because I think he is ready.

When you are in a great team with many great players, you must understand that you need to be ready to start on the bench, ready to come on and make a difference.
The Blues winger is a key player for Conte, and played a part as the reigning Premier League champions put Stoke City to the sword in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
I don’t see a problem. We are managing his recovery very well. Hazard is very important for us, so we have to make sure he is ready to play a full game.
New signing Alvaro Morata notched a hat-trick, and Pedro also hit the net in the victory.
