Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres is wary of the threat that Chelsea pose to his side ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
The Spanish striker discussed his mood ahead of the match and was full of praise for his former side as he looked ahead to the second game week of the Champions League.
As quoted by the Mirror, the experienced forward spoke of how he and his side are expecting a difficult test against the Blues.
The Chelsea games will not be easy – there is a reason they are Champions Of England.
They will be one of the teams that believe that are capable of winning the competition this season. The teams from England all look very strong this year – they all have quality players and I am sure there is belief among all of them.
Atletico could only manage a draw in their opening fixture of the group stages. They were held to a 0-0 stalemate away at Roma, and will be keen to make an impression against Chelsea in front of their home support.
Chelsea, on the other hand, head into the game sitting pretty at the top of the group. They hit Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag for six in their opening fixture, and will look to extend their lead at the top.
