Diego Costa has written a farewell message to Chelsea’s fans after the club confirmed his sale to Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of £59 million, the Mirror report.
The deal will officially go through on January 1st, with the Spanish international using Instagram to post his farewell message to the Chelsea fans.
He wrote:
Some cycles begin while others end. My cycle began at Chelsea three years ago three remarkable years in all aspects and I will never forget it.
Costa won two Premier League titles and a Community Shield during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring 59 goals in 120 appearances for the club.
The striker added:
The wonderful fans of such equally admirable club and all team mates, as well as clinical, administrative and logistics staff will remain forever in my mind and in my heart.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, again insisted that the two have no problems and has wished Costa all the best for the future, thanking him for his contributions last season.
