However, according to the Daily Mail, the injury does not appear to be too severe, and Morata is likely to be fit and available after the international break.

Morata has been in sublime form since joining from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. He has filled the void left by Diego Costa in immense fashion, and has already established himself as one of the league’s top strikers.

Spain’s national side are claimed to be looking to assess the powerful centre forward to decide whether or not he will be available to feature for them over the course of the two-week period.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte spoke about Morata’s injury after the defeat to City, and confirmed it was a minor muscular issue.

I don’t think it’s a serious problem because he stopped before it will become a serious injury.

He said to me, “I prefer to stop myself otherwise I risk a bad injury”. The doctor now in the next days has to check the situation, but I don’t think he’s available for the national team.
