Chelsea still interested in Danny Rose

Chelsea still interested in Danny Rose

Chelsea attempted multiple times to sign Alex Sandro in the summer transfer window but Juventus rejected every advance from the Blues who missed out on one of their top targets.

Antonio Conte believes he is short of wing-back options on the left-side and remains interested in signing one and Chelsea remain interested in Tottenham’s injured left-back Danny Rose and could make a January move once he returns to full fitness.

Rose hasn’t featured for Tottenham since January when he suffered a knee injury and a timetable for his return hasn’t been finalised by the Spurs medical staff.

When fit, Rose is an England regular and is regarded as the Premier League’s best left-back, illustrated by being named in the PFA Team of the Year last season.

Marcos Alonso has been very impressive for Chelsea at left wing-back since joining in the summer of 2016 but they would be limited for options should he become unavailable due to injury or suspension.

Manchester United are also interested in Rose who admitted in the summer he would be open to a transfer away from Tottenham if a worthwhile offer was on the table.
