Chelsea are set to see one of their summer signings in action for the very first time.
Danny Drinkwater completed a £35m move to Chelsea from Leicesteron transfer deadline day but has yet to feature for the Blues after picking up a calf injury last month.
The England international has been training with the first-team since last week ahead of a first-team return and it appears as if tonight’s Carabao Cup clash with Everton at Stamford Bridge could be where we see Drinkwater make his Chelsea bow.

Drinkwater’s timely return for Chelsea will soften the blow felt by the absence of his former Leicester teammate N’Golo Kante who remains out with a hamstring injury, while Tiemoue Bakayoko has had injury concerns of his own since arriving from Monaco.
Given he’s yet to play this season, it’s unlikely that Drinkwater will start against the Toffees tonight but we could see him come off the bench. Charly Musonda and Kenedy are both expected to feature from the start tonight.
