Charly Musonda has been outspoken about his lack of playing time at Chelsea but the Blues have no plans to let go of the midfielder when the January transfer window opens.
So far this season, Musonda has been a regular in the first-team picture but he’s made just two Premier League appearances, both off the bench, but did score on his first start for the club in a Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest.
The Belgian midfielder expressed his frustrations on Instagram but according to the Evening Standard, any plans to allow him to leave on loan in the January transfer window have been scrapped.
Chelsea do lack some depth in certain areas of their squad including the midfield/attacking midfield areas and Musonda, although buried down in the pecking order, does provide cover in a number of positions which is a positive for Antonio Conte.
Musonda is expected to start tonight against Everton in the Carabao Cup.
