Conte calls for Chelsea to start being ruthless

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has called on his side to become more ruthless in killing off games, the Daily Mail reports.

The Blues are currently sat in 4th place on the Premier League table, and have endured something of a mixed opening to the campaign. They recently secured a 1-0 win over Bournemouth, but lacked a clinical edge.

We must kill the game. If you are keeping the game in the balance you risk a draw.

Eden Hazard gave Chelsea the lead in the second half with what proved to be a decisive goal, but it could have easily been more than just one for the Blues at the Vitality Stadium.

Conte is now demanding the same kind of ruthlessness that won Chelsea the league last term, as he hopes to mount what now appears to be an unlikely title challenge in the remainder of the season.

Manchester City are flying high at the top of the league, and the Blues are currently nine points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s men.
