Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has insisted that he never considered leaving for Chelsea, the Daily Mail reports.
The Belgian international spoke to the press ahead of his side’s crunch Champions League clash against the Blues this week, and discussed Chelsea’s interest in him.
Antonio Conte admitted that an attempt was made to sign Nainggolan last summer, but Chelsea’s offer was insufficient.
Nainggolan, though, claims that he didn’t even think about parting company with Eusebio Di Francesco’s side, who will be looking to claim a famous scalp over the Blues.
I never hesitated or thought for a minute (about leaving), so it doesn’t matter if it’s Chelsea or anyone else.
In the previous encounter between the two sides, a thrilling 3-3 draw was played out at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are currently sat at the top of their group, and will know that with a win against Roma, they can further solidify their position in the European elite competition.
Nainggolan appears to be up for the match, though, and the Blues will need to be at the top of their game if they are to overcome a resilient Roma side.
