Emenalo had been the Blues’ technical director for no less than 10 years, but has brought his time with the club to an abrupt end, as confirmed on Monday afternoon.

Roman Abramovich, the current owner of Chelsea, held Emenalo and his views in high regard. The news of his departure is sure to come as a blow to the Russian, who will no longer have his services to help him in the decision-making process at the helm of the club.
Emenalo worked with 10 managers during his long stint at Chelsea, and was understood to have shared a somewhat frosty relationship with current manager Antonio Conte, whose future has also come under increased scrutiny in recent times.
