Alvaro Morata has insisted he has ‘no regrets’ about joining Chelsea in the summer, in an exclusive interview with Marca.
After Morata’s initial £58 million move from Real Madrid to Chelsea in the summer, the forward has hit the ground running, already finding the back of the net on eight occasions, with seven of them coming in the Premier League, a competition the forward is desperate to win.
Morata was brought in by Antonio Conte as a direct replacement to Diego Costa as his fellow Spaniard heads back to Atletico Madrid in January.
There were rumours surfacing that the Spanish international hadn’t settled in London, and was open for a return home to Real Madrid.
However, when asked if the striker had any regrets about his decision on moving to England, Morata said:
I will never regret going to a club like Chelsea. All the steps I have taken in my career have served for something. I have learned. I won in Italy, with Real Madrid, feeling important. Now I have the challenge of also being in England. I want to win the Premier League.
The striker is used to winning trophies wherever he has been, after two years at Real Madrid and a further two at Juventus, winning the league title on all four occasions.
