Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has questioned his exclusion from the France squad.

The Blues powerhouse was left behind as Dider Deschamps’ men continued their preparations for the World Cup in the summer, and he couldn’t help but express his frustration.

As quoted by French news outlet Canal+, Bakayoko claimed that he feels the midfielders picked ahead of him are not of a higher standard than him.

Bakayoko has overseen a mixed start to life at Chelsea following a good season at AS Monaco. He suffered a stuttering opening to his tenure as he nursed a knee injury, but has shown signs of promise, along with signs of adjustment.

The towering midfielder will hope to develop some form for Chelsea in the coming months, as he aims to put himself in contention for Deschamps’ World Cup squad.
