Salah not given a chance at Chelsea claims Hazard

Ahead of the clash of the titans at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has spoken about his former teammate and current Liverpool star Mohamed Salah.

It was a race between Liverpool and Chelsea to sign Salah in 2014 from Basel, and the Blues, who were looking to replace Juan Mata, beat the Reds for the Egyptian’s signature.

After a loan and permanent move to Roma, he is back in England showing what he can do. No player has scored more than 14 goals a season for Liverpool since Luis Suarez, and Salah has 14 before November has come to a close.

Hazard says he wishes to swap shirts with Salah after the match on Saturday, as reported by The Guardian:

He’s a top, top, top player. He did not get his chance at Chelsea – maybe because of the manager, because of the other players? I don’t know.

At Liverpool he is still doing well, so I think we need to be careful with him. I want to ask him for his shirt, for sure, on Saturday.

As part of the fiery front three of Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, the Egyptian has certainly been the star of most of Liverpool’s matches. He has scored four goals in his last two Premier League matches, against Southampton and West Ham.

The league’s top scorer will hope to get one over on his former team, but it is clear to see that Hazard, as well as everyone now, knows what he can do.
