Antonio Conte urges Chelsea board to invest in January

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has urged the Chelsea board to invest in January or they’ll be at risk to falling further behind Manchester City.

Although Chelsea invested in the summer for Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and more, but with injuries and players falling out with Conte, their squad is looking slim.

Conte’s main concern is Manchester City pretty much running away with the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola installing an almost unstoppable force in the blue side of Manchester.

The Chelsea head coach had this to say about Guardiola and Manchester City

Manchester City’s path is incredible, no? I think Manchester City in this season is a strong team. Also last season, Manchester City were a fantastic team. Then, after the transfer market, they bought their first targets and then they have improved a lot.

They can do this also in January maybe and in the future. For this reason, we must be worried because if we want to compete with Manchester City we have to work and make the best decisions in the market.
