Antonio Conte wants to add a striker to his ranks during the January transfer window and Chelsea are being linked with a move for one of te best young prospects in France.
According to Salzburger Nachrichten, Chelsea are said to be interested in signing Lyon’s 16-year-old attacker Willem Geubbels after he broke into the first-team this season.
Geubbels has four appearances this season and became the youngest player ever to feature in the Europa League in the process.
Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg made an approach to sign the teenager during the January transfer window but his agent has informed the club to stop in their efforts given the considerable interest in his client from Champions League clubs.
Along with Chelsea, there is said to be interest from fellow Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham in the France U17 international while Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich are also said to be keen.
