Chelsea have made a last minute bid for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, according to a report from James Robson of the Manchester Evening News.
The Blues are now being linked with a move for the Chilean international, who is looking all but set to depart the Emirates at some stage during the ongoing transfer window.
Sanchez has been vying for a move away from Arsenal since the summer and was thought to have been keen on linking up with Pep Guardiola again at Manchester City.
However, the league leaders have apparently pulled out of the race to land Sanchez based on a combination of his wages and the price that Arsenal are demanding, rumoured to be around £35m.
Manchester United are still seemingly leading the race to sign Sanchez now but Chelsea appear to have thrown their hat into the ring, with the MEN stating that they have made a late bid for the former Barcelona man.
