Irfan Redzepagic, who is the agent of Chelsea target Edin Dzeko, has admitted that Antonio Conte likes his client, however, stated he is happy in Italy and wants to stay at AS Roma, the Mirror report.
The former Manchester City striker has impressed in Serie A with Roma this season, scoring nine times in the league so far, and that form has attracted interest from the Blues as Conte looks to bolster his attacking options in the January window.
Dzeko’s agent Redzepagic refused to comment on any contact with the Blues ahead of a potential offer from Chelsea, but he did admit that Conte is a fan of his client.
The truth is that Dzeko wants to stay at Roma. Have I spoken to Conte or Chelsea? My role means I can’t reveal certain transfer market dynamics. All I can say is that Conte likes Dzeko. But then who doesn’t like Edin?
If the Bosnian was to head to London, he would be cup tied in the Champions League knockout stages, having already played in the competition.
The player has scored twice at Stamford Bridge this season, however, in a 3-3 draw back in October, including a sublime volley.
