Chelsea send officials to watch Jean Michael Seri

Chelsea and Manchester United have both sent scouts to watch Jean Michael Seri in the Europa League last night as the suspense starts to build as to where the midfielder will end up this summer, according to the Metro.

He came close to joining Spanish giants Barcelona last summer but the deal failed to go through in time.

His impressive performances for Nice this season have made clubs stand up and show strong interest in the player with Chelsea keen on the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international.

Chelsea sent official scouts to watch the player as his side played Lokomotiv Moscow in the last 32 of the Europa League last night, a match they lost 3-2.

Antonio Conte is keen to bring in another midfielder to play with Ngolo Kante after summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko has failed to impress so far this season, whilst Nemanja Matic was sold to Manchester United in the summer.
