Lampard feels Barcelona are weak in the air

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has been previewing the Blues’ Champions League clash with Barcelona.

Lampard discussed where Chelsea can come out on top at Stamford Bridge, as they get the knockout stages of their Champions League campaign underway in the first leg of the round of 16.

Barcelona are flying high in La Liga and are enjoying a good season so far. Ernesto Valverde is overseeing great success at the Nou Camp and they are sure to pose a hugely dangerous threat to Chelsea when the two sides lock horns this evening.

However, Lampard told the Evening Standard recently that he feels Barcelona do have one outstanding weakness – their ability to effectively compete in the air.

Chelsea also need to capitalise on Barcelona’s possible weakness in the air. They aren’t used to defending crosses as much in La Liga so they need to take advantage of any set-piece they can get.

Chelsea are sure to see their chances limited when Barca come to town but they will hope to have an advantage at set-pieces

Barcelona will be in confident mood. They have gone unbeaten in La Liga this term and boast a very good defensive record.

Antonio Conte’s men will know that they must claim a result against Valverde’s side in the first leg, with a daunting away trip to Barcelona facing them in only a few weeks.
