Chelsea must pay £80m to land Gareth Bale

Real Madrid have set a £80m price tag on Welsh winger Gareth Bale as they hope to offload the clubs record signing to a Premier League club as reported by the Express.

Bale is set to leave the club after the club have lost patience with the attacker who has continued to suffer with muscular injuries over the last 18 months which have limited his availability.

It would bring to an end to a five-year stay at the club for the Welshman which included him winning 10 trophies including three Champions League trophies.

Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League clubs who are interested in Bale as the forward looks to get his career back on track after a tough spell in Madrid.

Premier League rivals Manchester United and Bale’s former club Tottenham are also said to be keen on bringing him back to English football, while Bayern Munich see the former Southampton academy graduate as the ideal replacement for Arjen Robben who is set to leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
