Juventus join Chelsea in race to sign Berke Ozer

Chelsea are always scouring Europe for some of the next big talents in the game and recently they have been tracking talented Turkish goalkeeper Berke Ozer.

Earlier this season, the Blues sent scouts to watch the 17-year-old in action for Altinordu as they weigh up a future move for the teenager, but now they face some fresh competition for his signature.

Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak have reported that Juventus have entered the race to sign the teenager that is also wanted by Manchester City, and they are in talks with Altinordu regarding a summer transfer.

After breaking into the first-team as a 16-year-old last season, Ozer, a regular for Turkey’s U17 side, was handed his first call-up to the senior squad last May but is yet to make his international debut.

It’s believed that Juventus have submitted a €2.5m bid to pip the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City to Ozer’s signature, but it remains to be seen whether this offer will be enough.
